Christian "Rock" Meyer

Hi - I am Christian "Rock" Meyer.  I am a drummer and proud Diamondback Drumstick endorser.

I always loved music and drums and come from a professional music background.  I first really pursued drums in the 7th grade and wanted to play in the school band.  For whatever reason, they wouldn't accept me saying I started too late........ yeah.  My attention was consumed with drums and I began to teach myself - listening, mimicking, watching, studying, and reading every kind of drum tutorial and really all music business subjects..... and beating my sticks on everything.

I started playing a real kit in my uncle's studio a year later along with picking up singing, the guitar, bass, and writing and recording songs. A year after that, I joined my first band in 1984.  I spent most of my teenage years and my twenties working in several bands and projects - honing my drum skills, song writing, recording, promoting, graphic arts, and live performances.

These adventures took me coast to coast and it has been a great ride.

Today - I am living my dream.  I play drums for 5 main bands, session drum live and recording at Avalon Rehearsals & Recording where I am a partner, audio & video engineer, and graphic artist.  I just released an EP with Project Rogue and a full album from my international project Scum Scunge.  My band Gibson Cemetery also recorded this year and has been releasing several singles online and possibly an EP soon as well.  I also play drums for the Michelle Johnson Band which has a second identity -  a Black Sabbath tribute band called Blonde Sabbath.

2017 is looking to be a busy and blessed year for me.  I am launching a new record label, Rock Meyer Records, mainly to promote and sell music, CDs, and merch from all my projects and from a past band Jack Quick.  I also will be announcing a couple of new projects I have coming up.  Project Rogue and Scum Scunge have already begun writing the next songs for 2017 and booking hard.  Project Rogue is set to play several cities and up our game this year.  Scum Scunge will be pushing the new 14 song record and interviewing everywhere.  Look for us on Sirius XM's Liquid Metal.  You can find all my projects online on Facebook, Reverb Nation, and various websites.  Google my friends.

Very proud - very excited about Diamondback Drumsticks and our amazing products.  Looking forward to a long run with my Diamondback family.

Chase Rogers

I've had barely any formal music education.  I grew up in a musical family and took to drums more than any other instrument.  My first opportunity to perform began at Grafton High School as a member of the Jazz Band.  I then began to expand my skills by playing drums for other musical groups in school.  I then formed a small cover band with local kids.  Later on I was asked to stand in on multiple occasions for other bands.  After high school I went to college and continued to play in band.  It was then that I joined an acoustic rock group named "Empty."  Empty played out pretty regularly and became fairly popular.  I parted ways with Empty when I enlisted in the United States Air Force.  There were very few outlets to perform while my enlistment took me to Germany, Kuwait and Iraq.  When I returned from the Air Force, I was hungry to play again.  I played in multiple cover bands (Quarter Life Crisis, Sorry We're Ugly, and AfterKut) for a little more than 3 years before finding a home with Knuckleduster.  Knuckleduster has since played 19 show in the past year and looking to do more in the year to come

Shawn Wells

My name is Shawn Wells I'm from Oceana WV, I'm 36 yrs old I'm married with 3 beautiful children. I'm a drummer I've been playing for 31yrs, drums are my passion!

I was born with amnyoplasia congenita which is a form of arthrogryposis, basically I have no hip or knee joints and my hands are fused at my wrists. When I was little drums always captivated me, anytime I went by s store that had a drum set in the widow or I saw one I had to go check it out. I started playing on my mother's pots and pans and then eventually moved up to a bongo drum which I played so much I wore a hole in it.

I was 5 when I received my first set, I had so much to figure out like how I was going to hold my sticks and how I was going to work my bass drum and hi hats, but I was determined and wanted to be a drummer and I wasn't going to let my differences stop me.  I don't use the standard  techniques like match grip or traditional grip, heel toe, heel up, heel down, swivel,  I use the Shawn Wells techniques as I like to say.  I played backwards for years see I'm a lefty but I had everything set up like a righty so I never used my hi hat pedal so I came up with a stick technique that made it sound like I was opening and closing them. When I was 18 I was playing in the church band in Oceana and the music director asked "Shawn have you ever tried setting your kit up like a true lefty".  I said no I hadn't and we set them up like a true lefty and that's how I've been setting up ever since believe me it was weird at first lol.

Over the years I've played in many types of bands, country, rock, hard rock, alternative, heavy metal, and contemporary Christian Rock/blues. Thru the years I found that when I was playing long shows my hands would start to get fatigued and sweaty, I tried gloves.... They didn't work, I tried tape.... Didn't work either. I found that I started to concentrate more on not dropping my sticks than playing, so in 2004 I created my sleeve, and strap design.....I wish I would have thought of it 20yrs ago, it  made me not focus on losing my sticks and I don't go thru nearly as many sticks as I used to. My gripping design can be used with any drumstick and are for any and all drummers, not just drummers with hand differences or gripping issues.

I use Diamondback sticks to make the sticks I use..... But any  size or brand you use my gripping design. My design comes 2 ways, their is a strap version and a rubber sleeve that easily slides over you stick, so if you only have trouble with one stick you can slide the rubber sleeve over just one stick, slide your thumb in or whatever finger you prefer and start jamming!

With the help of Dom Famularo and Andrew Hewitt from CAN-DO MUSOS I'm slowly but surely getting them out to the public. I've been apart of CAN-DO MUSOS for about 2 years now, it's a wonderful website for musicians with disabilities, you can check them out at www.candomusos.com

Right now I'm in a band called CORE, we formed back in 2012, we are an indie rock band, we are finishing up our official debut album. Whenever someone asks me how I'm able to play I always say God is the reason. Here are some links of me playing and also a link to the tv interview I did after I was on drumtalktv and my video reached 500,000 views.... I'm getting ready to be back on drumtalktv next month.

Tyler "Smiley" Jimenez

Born on May 21st 1989 in Rochester, NH. Tyler "Smiley" Jimenez was raised around music with his father and grandfather being drummers. Naturally, he began learning the kit from his fathers lap, until he received his first drum kit on his 4th birthday. Shortly after he was playing along to tapes of Garth Brooks and Brooks and Dunn. At age 6, him and his family relocated to the Wichita KS area. Growing up and through his teens drumming remained mostly a hobby. At 20yrs old he decided to pursue the possibilty of a career in music. He became a regular at all the open jams around town and began networking with local musicians. It wasn't long until he joined up with an established local act and thrown into his second gig opening up for honky tonk outlaw Jackson Taylor and the Sinners. He spent the next year learning what it takes performing a show with energy and finess, rather than your typical 3-4 set gigs. Wiith more openers for Jackson Taylor, Whitey Morgan, and singer/songwriter legend Billy Joe Shaver; his name began to spread more regionally. He earned himself a reputation of being one of the most solid, in the pocket drummers in the area, while always having a smile behind the kit. This opened up bigger opportunities of playing shows for national touring acts such as alternative indie band the Fifth Fire out of Los Angeles, and honky tonker from Kentucky Peewee Moore. This lead to his first full time touring band, Smith Entertainment Artist, Aaron Woods Band from Stillwater, OK.

Playing 125+ shows a year, over multiple state lines, he learned how to be a professional on and off stage. Gaining experience in music videos, radio singles, radio tours, and playing with a click and tracks live. Seizing every opportunity and challenge thrown his way. No challenge is too big for this drummer. Tyler "Smiley" Jimenez proudly endorses Diamondback Drumsticks and GTX Drum Shields Plays Pearl Drums, Gibraltar Hardware, and Zildjian Cymbals

Steve Wright

DREAMER: A short history of the band: Dreamer was started by Scott Splawn, Steve Wright and Dal Haynes when we were in Jr. High. We are life long friends that simply wanted to make and play music.

PROGRESSION: We started as a Southern Rock Band and later changed into a Heavy Metal Band.

I have played drum for over 37 years and took many years off after leaving Dreamer in 1989. Our claim to fame was that one of our original songs made local radio play a few times (Our 15 min of fame).

After leaving the band, life took me and my wife to San Francisco where I planted an Inner City Church. I was a pastor in San Francisco for a little over 13 years. Both our children were born in California.

We moved back in 2006 to North Carolina and I pastored in Charlotte with three former NBA players for about five years. Next, I started Legacy Church and I pastor that body at present.

I have been restored to some of my childhood friends and our band Dreamer did a reunion concert in Bessemer City NC October of 2015. It was fun to reconnect. We had over 500 people show up to see the show. We were also able to share our faith in Christ with them.

Anyway, that lead to us deciding to put the band back together.

Jake Ratliff

Jake Ratliff is an Eastern Kentucky musician hailing from Pike County, Ky.

Jake developed a deep passion for music early in life, learning to play the drums when he was only six years old. Cutting his teeth on classic rock, he has since developed a large repertoire of techniques thanks to his dedication to studying different musical genres and styles.

He pursued his talent throughout his youth, participating both in his school's band and playing with local musicians. From there, he went on to study at Morehead State University in Kentucky. While attending college, Jacob was a member of several different ensembles including Marching Band, Jazz Band, Caribbean Steel Pans Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Black Gospel Ensemble while also playing with various student lead organizations like the MSU Student Methodist Center. Jake has also spent time giving back to the music community by working with kids at local elementary and high school music programs.

Jake is the current drummer for up-and-coming Christian pop group Shiloh, touring alongside the likes of Audio Adrenaline, 7eventh Time Down, Ashes Remain and more. Jake is also an amateur electronic musician, playing drums and programming music for electropop project Bear Prince.

Other artists Jake has played with include critically acclaimed jazz musician Brandon Coleman, world-renowned violinist Jean Watson and Christian pop artist John Waller.

“I LOVE Diamondback Drumsticks! The 5A sticks have a great feel and the etched grips keep them from slipping out of my hands! They’re durable, long lasting and can take a beating! Great sticks made right here in America!”

Austin Ervin

My name is Austin Ervin, 18 years old, from Royse City, Texas. Drummer for Hostile, a metal band also out of Royse City, TX.

I'm self-taught. I never had any "formal" training when it comes to being behind the kit. I was in middle school band, but never high school. I practiced in my shed for years, until I got thrown into the music scene by joining Hostile.  I tried starting some of my own projects beforehand, while working part time either delivering pizzas or in hardware stores, but the spark was never there.

I joined Hostile on July 28th, 2016, this band being my first "legitimate" band, and since then Hostile has become my family.  We stay playing shows all over Texas (Austin, Dallas, Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Corpus Christi) and up into Oklahoma (Oklahoma City, Lawton). We have an awesome list of shows coming in the new year.

I am proud to be part of the Diamondback and Hostile families.

Willy Gurley

Hey everyone! My name is Willy, and I've been a musician since I was 7 years old. In addition to drums, I can also play guitar, bass, and trombone. It all started in my neighbors basement, my dad used to go over there and jam with him, and sometimes he would take me with him. My neighbor had a son, who had a band, and because I was the youngest I was stuck on the drums! It all spiraled out of control from there. My dad had always wanted his own recording studio, and had one built in 2006 with the intentions that he could have a place to store his rather large collection of instruments and gear. He also made it to where when I got old enough, I could turn into a business if I chose to. Fast forward to now (2017) and we have Fainting Goat Studio, a full blown recording studio filled with tons of great toys, and a vast lineup of musicians and songwriters that work together as a team to make great recordings for people. I consider myself very fortunate to work with such amazing players on a daily basis. As for my influences, for drums, they are-

Ryky Rogers

Ryky Rogers was born on November 15th, 1988 in Abilene, Tx and was raised in various places in Texas, where his interest in music started at a very early age. "My Dad was in a rock band, so I was always surrounded by music. I spent many days and nights at Dad's rehearsals, listening and learning. It seemed only natural that I would become a musician." Although Ryky was primarily self taught, he did learn many of his chops from his Dad's drummers... John Kingrea, and Dion fink were two drummers instrumental in Ryky's development as a drummer. Ryky began as a young teen, playing in various bands, mostly as a metal drummer. He quickly became known in the Abilene, Tx area for his fast footwork on double bass, and was nominated for Drummer of the Year in 2010 in the West Texas area. At the age of 16, Ryky took a temporary job as the drummer for his Dad's band 3 Shades Blue, an original Southern Rock power trio. Ryky had such a chemistry with the band that they decided to make it a permanent position. Ryky held down the groove for 3 Shades Blue untilthe bands retirement in July of 2017 playing all over Texas, including notable shows, such as an opening slots in front of greats like Rick Springfield, Blackberry Smoke, Candlebox, and several others. Along with other bands SeVIIn, Farewell to Fools and studio work Ryky stays busy playing more than a hundred engagements per year. Ryky's biggest influences are Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler, The great Mike Portnoy, Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden, Sean Kinney of Alice in Chains, and non drummer influences include Frank Zappa, Queensryche, Maiden, Pantera; and Bleu Edmondson, Stoney Larue, and many more from the Texas/Oklahoma red dirt genre... find him on Facebook and Instagram Ryky exclusively uses Soultone Cymbals and Diamondback Drumsticks

Mike Petrie

My name is Mike Petrie.

I am 47 years old and began playing the drums at 10 years old. I played through junior high and into high school marching, jazz and symphonic bands.

I am primarily self taught on the kit, playing in neighborhood and school garage bands.

I was given an opportunity to join a touring "A" circuit band at the age of 21. While touring the southeastern United States playing five nights a week, I learned what it means to literally sing for your supper.

I have shared stages with Warrant, Firehouse, Trixter, White Lion, Dangerous Toys, Kings X, Kansas and Gregg Allman. My former band mates include Tony Sams, formally of Brian Howe and Warrant and Dean Aicher of Brian Howe.

I feel that I am known for being a hard hitting pocket player and a veteran of the local music scene.

A couple of years ago, I found myself in a bit of a rut. In need of inspiration, and wanting to improve my playing,I decided to take some lessons. I was fortunate to study with Will Hunt (Evanescence, Black Label Society, Vasco Rossi, Dark New Day and many more) Will changed the way I approach the instrument and I am forever grateful.

I am currently playing with the Central Florida band Hard Drive and get to share a stage with incredible players including Michael Amico (Pat Travers and  B. I. T. graduate) I consider my self very fortunate to have surrounded myself with such inspiring musicians.

I intend on playing for as long as people are willing to listen to me.

Abe Perez

ABE PEREZ was born in Cuba. He also plays congas, cajon and other percussion. Abe started playing drums at 9 years old and professionally while he in Jr. High School. He formed an all original band, Yankee Rose, which was signed by Satellite Records and produced by Greg Geddes (of Todd Rundgren). Yankee Rose played shows with Van Halen, Quiet Riot and many other big bands. Abe has also played with John Nelson, (former Eddy Money guitarist), Sky Furies (a Vegas show band that was produced by famous producer HB Barnum [who produced Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones, et. al] and had a daily residency at the famous Roosevelt Hotel), “Come and Get Your Love” hit-makers Raven Hernandez of Redbone, Jimmy Espinosa and other members of Thee Midnighters.

Abe is endorsed by Spaun Drums, Scymtek Cymbals, Beato Bags, DB drum shoes and, most recently, Diamondback Drumsticks. In addition to the companies he endorses, Abe also maintains a good relationship with all music retailers, and, for many years has been a judge for Guitar Center’s annual ‘Drum Off’. He also worked as an independent drummer for hire in live concerts, touring and recording. Abe toured extensively and recorded on many albums. He is also a talented arranger and keyboard player and adds many of his ideas to Joanna Glass’s songs in GLASSPIRITS, his current project.

Glasspirits is an LA-based musical duo. In late 2016, they had a soft release their debut CD, Mysteries of Rhythm, to promote themselves as a new band. In Glasspirits, Abe plays drums, congas, bongos, cajon, keyboards and other percussion. Joanna Glass sings, plays acoustic and electric guitar, bass, keyboards and electric violin. The music varies a lot from song to song and is very current with the styles of music out today. They are currently booking shows and shooting music videos to promote a wide digital release of Mysteries of Rhythm in the Summer of 2017.

Dave Gregston

Dave grew up in Texas in a very musical family with his father managing his brothers band. They did quite well which led Dave to start playing the drums at a very young age. "I guess you could say I grew up on the drums", he says when describing himself. "I played in school a little bit and then joined bands in the neighborhood and we played around at local parties."

Dave was in several notable bands in the 80's including EX-cape and Mothers Day and recorded and toured with Centerfold who had a song (You Are) that managed to get some airplay on Q-102. In the late 90's he founded Full Tilt Boogie, a rock/rhythm & blues band that played all over the Texas.

Blackout is the answer to a musical dream he has always had; that everyone has the same focus and direction and gives 100%... "We are very much a live band and play for the fans."

Dave's influences include: Tommy Aldridge, Vinny Appice, Tommy Lee, and Mick Brown.

Dave is currently proudly using a 7 piece double bass Mapex Saturn kit with custom paint. He prefers Tama Iron Cobra Pedals – Mapex drums

Dave endorses Soultone Cymbals and Diamondback Drumsticks.

Daniel "Danno" Weiprecht

Danno Waters is hard-hitting drummer for the hard rock band, Silvertung. The band signed to Pavement Entertainment in March 2016. Their latest release, “Out Of The Box” hit the street on July 8th. Silvertung have three (3) Billboard Mainstream Rock Radio Chart hits – “Never Too Late,” “Face The Music” and “You & Me.” Silvertung’s last single, “You & Me” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Radio’s Most Added List edging out such marquee bands as Korn, Blink-182 and From Ashes To New. It remained on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Radio Chart for 9 consecutive weeks peaking at #27. Three of the band’s four videos have garnered over 250,000+ YouTube views and are still climbing. In addition the band received two Maryland Music Awards at their 2016 presentation including, “Best Heavy Metal Band,” and the top award of the evening, “Breakout Artist of 2016.” Silvertung performed live at the televised event.

As a self-taught drummer, Danno’s playing is not bound by rudiments and limitations. “I was brought into the drum world at an early age,” said Danno. “Having the hereditary disease, Brachydactyly, I knew I would face challenges. I’ve battled with just holding the sticks, but I refused to let that stop me. Through the years, I was able to adapt a style all my own that allows me to handle the sticks while still getting full use of them. It has not been an easy road, but I couldn’t imagine my life without my drums.” In 2016, Danno met Mike Caimona of 1710 Percussion. “I fell totally in love with 1710 Percussion. I have an exclusive endorsement to play their custom-made drums. I play a six piece with Evans Heads to compliment the rich and full sound that made me fall in love with these drums. I cut the beat with a custom handmade 1710 Percussion 13 by 7” snare and Pearl Direct Drive Demonator Double Bass Pedals. I accent the sounds with Saluda cymbals – making my set a complete weapon of musical drive and power. Recently I received a unique stick holder from “Bitch Strap” that holds my new Diamondback Drumsticks.

You can hear and see Danno on tour with Silvertung later this summer and fall as the band tour in support of their second Pavement Entertainment release, “Lighten Up.”

Lightning Strikes

Lightning Strikes; Premier St. Louis, Missouri Drummer. Born, February 17, 1963 immediately began showing signs of being a percussion prodigy, learning stick handling at the age of one. At the age of three Lightning had already mastered snare drum rudiments, within one year the percussionist had moved onto a full size kit. At age five he was enrolled into a percussion training school. Within two classes though the budding prodigy was already well ahead in the art than any of his peers. Learning intricate rhythm patterns, stick handling techniques, and foot rudiments that can only be truly learned through constant practice, and continual guidance from a professional entertainer. In 1968, at the young age of five, Lightning started performing professionally on stage with some of the best musicians in St. Louis. During the next few years Lightning, would perform, and continue honing the skills he acquired all the way throughout his teenage years. Eventually forming a few groups that recorded and performed locally throughout the bi-state region across the Midwest at many prominent venues such as Club Imperial, Pops, and Stages leading up to performances at larger stadium festivals across the nation. Throughout my musical career I’ve had a chance to meet and perform with various great high profile artists/musicians. The best part of performing though is actually getting to meet the thousands of fans that support, and purchase the music. Huge Thanks to Gary King and everyone at DiamondBack Drumsticks, Jake Cardwell, and everyone at C&C Custom Drums, Remo Packer / Bob Rupp at Dragon Drums. I really appreciate all your support, your products and equipment are hands down the best quality on the market. Your technicians producing the materials that allow me to produce the driving back beat are second to none. There was a shed. Most of us have a metaphorical “shed” where we go to learn. It could be a school, a library, a laboratory, whatever. For Murph Caicedo the shed was a shed. It was in his backyard. It was a place where the vision of becoming a “real” drummer first took hold. For some of us, especially at an early age, these forays don’t last long, don’t mean much. For Murph it was the opposite. If it had not been for family and friends shaking him back into daily responsibilities, he would likely still be out there hammering away, perfecting his craft. At 17 years of age, Murph began to play in his first “professional” band, Probable Cauz. They got plenty of local gigs. Unfortunately however, Murph had to wait outside in between sets because he wasn’t old enough to be in the bar yet. The seed was planted though and turning back was no longer an option. Murph has played in countless bands since then (as many as 8 at one time!). That could seem crazy to most of us, but when you are Murph Caicedo and there’s no doubt that drumming is why you are on the earth, it’s easy. Fast Forward to today, Murph has toured with, and played on records for artists that run the gamut. Of course he’s recorded with many of his own bands, but also with every other style of musical artist there is. He’s played the blues with Mr. Sipp, soul with Liz Stroud, pop with Brian Fuente, punk rock with the Tuff Luvs, Americana with Bloodbird Harrington, metal with Redneck Trucker, and at least 40 other recording projects too numerable to list here. Murph just finished recording the 3rd album with Spacewolf, a band he helped to found. He also finished up an eighth month tour with Ole Trace Records band Framing the Red. Maybe you’ve heard about them…1.6 million+ views on YouTube and all. Murph is currently endorsed by Soultone Cymbals (a company that “gets it”). He has been the Musical Director for Skate MS, a non-profit in his hometown of Jackson MS that promotes healthy lifestyles for young people through skating. Murph has done time at Belhaven University, on their faculty, as a percussionist for their super well respected dance department. Murph may be the only “local” drummer that has been asked to be a judge at Guitar Center’s annual “Drum-off” competition on multiple occasions. It all began with spending countless hours listening, rewinding and listening again, then bashing it out to the likes of John Bonham, Jimmy Chamberlain, Neal Peart, Billy Cobham, and Brad Elrod. Nowadays he easily fits onto that list of names as a contemporary. If you like real, musician style, drummers that shun the use of studio trickery and backing tracks, then Murph is your guy and I’m sure if you can hack it, he’d invite you too. Get in the van. Get in the shed.

Allan Bingham

Husband, father and drummer - in that order. Yet if it weren't for my family I wouldn't be playing again. My young daughter asked me to teach her drums and from there we were off. It wasn't long that I was in blues cover band when the opportunity came along to join my current band Lunacy Rain. After some personnel changes we found our groove in late 2016 and our goal was to play one of the regions best venues for national and regional bands. And we did - several times before the venue closed. This only made us want more and more as we believed in each other and the music we were creating. From this point we started working hard promoting not only our band but our local scene and our name grew as did our performance resume. At this time we have been the opening act for several touring bands, Silvertung, Kelen Heller, Devour the Day, Kirra and others. Playing several venues in our home state of NC and traveling as well to Va and SC for performances. Always promoting not only our music but local bands and their performances as well we have performed and became friends with this community of musicians and they know they can count on us for support anytime, anywhere. 2017 was a great start for us and now as we face 2018 we begin the process of recording our debut CD for release and know that it will only lead to more and more opportunities for us to grow as a band and share our music with more people and hopefully inspire others along the way.

I got my first Drumset at 10. Always had a Passion to teach myself and play in a Touring Band one day. Started my first band called Godisee at 13 and eventually changed the name to For the Sake of the Kingdom with a Group of guys I grew up with. Through many endeavors and member changes that band fizzled out once I received an opportunity to Tour playing Rhythm guitar in a Band Called The Secret State . After 4 years with that Band I realized it was time to go back to my Original instrument and pursue my Drumming Career with a Band called Mindslip. I was with them for about a Year until I realized it wasn't a good fit for me and Joined a Band called Allele and Toured on their Record 'Next to Parallel'. Through many change and downfalls with them and the label I went home to Regroup and started a band called Of Tribe and Truth. I always wanted to play heavy music and pursued that band for 3 years until some members decided it wasn't for them. I started to put out video play throughs and got several calls from different bands to join until eventually taking the Opportunity with Breaking Through which puts me at where I am today.

Bryce Chism

My name is Bryce Chism. I have been playing drums for a little over 3 years now. I’m the drummer /co-founder of the band Broken Testimony and the drummer for the band State of Illusion. I started BT in hopes to share my music with the world. This year has been quite busy for me, being able to share the stage with such bands as Trapt, Devour the Day, Islander, Sons of Texas, Flaw, Shallowside, and Silvertung just to name a few. In the middle of this year I was approached by State of Illusion to fill in for a couple of shows for them. After some time, I was approached by the band to join. I have currently played over 40 shows this year. I have used Diamondback drumsticks for the last 3 months. I’m a very fast, hard hitting drummer however I have not broke a stick yet! I use to play with RockN Vic Firth sticks which I have broke SEVERAL. I recently shot a video with State of Illusion and in the video I used DB sticks. BT is currently in studio recording our first full album. I’m very focused on my dreams and goals in the music scene and I would be honored to be apart of the DB family.

Ricardo Melendez

Ricardo Meléndez is a driving beat beast behind the drum kit. Ricardo started developing his acclaimed drumming skills over 20 years ago as a child in his homeland of Puerto Rico. While still living on the island, Ricardo started and headed two successful bands. Of the two, Fallen Wisdom, was signed to hardcore monsters Century Media. Releasing only two cds: Pleasure Turns to Pain and Immortal, the band toured extensively for 3 years. Creating a small, but solid fan base. In 2006, Ricardo hooked up with Dearestazazel (DA) front man, Peter Armstrong, in Atlanta, GA, after Peter’s unsuccessful audition of 49 other drummers. The connection was obvious and music developed and progressed quickly; so quickly in fact that in 2006, the band caught the eye of Orlando based indie label, One Eleven Records (home to Rookie of the Year and The Spill Canvas). DA was signed to 111 in 2007. Their debut album, Be Mine, hit stores on July 3rd, 2008. As Fallen Wisdom, DA also toured non-stop. Putting out 2 cds prior to getting signed: Come Closer and Touch Me. Right after the release of Be Mine, DA got the opening spot on a National US Tour with Mindless Self Indulgence's IF Tour, playing in front of thousands of crazy but loyal MSI fans. Ricardo is a private drum teacher, session drummer and producer. He currently plays drums and sings background vocals for Orlando based hit band,Sound Theory -playing over 100 shows per year.

Timothy Braun

I have been performing and recording music for nearly two decades now! I am always involved in some sort of musical project but I enjoy teaching and performing the most. I am fluent in several musical styles specially rock. I have worked with many great producers and bands including Bob Marlette Trent Bell and Tom Gerrard. Currently I endorse and support Spaun Drum Company and Paiste Cymbals. Writting, recording and performing are all part of my plan. I even have experience on stringed instruments and vocals. When I am not on tour with the Texas Hippie Coalition I work with my wife (Carol Morgan) and even another band called Superpimp. Recently I directed and edited my first music vedio and plan to do more. One thing is for sure, if you give me a pair of sticks, I'll beat on just about anything! In the near future I would like to get into streaming online lessons and more. Until then the goal is to stay on the road as much as possible and stay active in this industry.

Are Wolfe

I am a female drummer for the band Born Crooked. My brother and I named our band after our handicap brother who passed away in 2013. I have been playing drums for 11 years. I perform with lots of enthusiasm and flip my hair around behind the drums while performing. It makes for a great show with lots of energy. We have played/ toured England twice, all over the easy coast, Utah, & LA at the iconic Whiskey A Go Go. We have also performed on Today in Nashville WSMV. One of my unreleased songs off of my new upcoming album has already been picked up and used for the NHL Winter Classic & NHL Junior Championship on nationwide tv. That same song was also picked up by the NHL Nashville Predators and they play it during each of their home games. One of our other new upcoming songs made its debut on Nashville radio on 102.9 The Buzz. I have also given a talk for S.W.I.M. (Smart Women In Music) meet to a couple young girls trying to make it in the music industry.

Camron Dudley

Camron Dudley was born and raised in Hillsville, VA and grew up as an only child in a single parent family. Camron's mother, Donna, had him banging on pots and pans up until his 4th birthday when he received his first drumset! He began playing to his mother's 8 track tapes and vinyl albums everyday, his ability to pick out drum parts and apply them to his drumset was a very natural process for him, God given talent he says. He began jamming with local musicians and friends at the age of 6 and was placed in middle school band and stage band one year earlier than allowed. This began his studies of reading music and learning drum rudiments. Camron performed his first public show at the age of 9 and from that point his obsession with drums and percussion became his life. He continued drumming in high school and excelled in marching band, jazz band and all state band. During this time Camron was also performing with several local country and classic rock bands that performed weekend shows at clubs and festivals. In 1988 Camron attended Elon University on a full music scholarship! Studying percussion under Bill Warren and Jon Metzger, Camron was first chair drummer in the Emanons, an audition only jazz ensemble, Elon percussion ensemble, Elon theatre pit orchestra, Elon community orchestra and Elan, a jazz vocal group. During this time he performed local and regional gigs with The Tom Erdman Quartet, Red Ball Jets, Sleepy Hollow and Smokin Oak Band. During his time at Elon Camron made many music connections that helped him further pursue his musical career after his graduation from Elon. He began doing studio sessions and freelance drumming performing jazz, country, classic rock, contemporary rock and contemporary Christian and worship music. His drumming has taken him all over America, Russia and many Tropical destinations. Currently Camron is a full time musician playing drums with Jim Quick and Coastline performing over 260 shows per year and freelance studio tracking for several studios and artists. Camron won Instrumentalist Of The Year in 2014 at the CBMA Awards and in February 2015 he recorded all drum tracks on the new Grayson Hugh CD, Back To The Soul, due out in August 2015. Camron has played with and shared the stage with artists such as Grayson Hugh, Jim Quick, Matt Boswell, Delbert McClinton, John Anderson, Darryl Worley, Travis Tritt, Big Daddy Weave, Under the Gun, Phil Vassar, Brian White, Exile, Five2One, David Allen Coe, Jerry Reed, McBride and the Ride, Darius Rucker, Nantucket, Montgomery Gentry, Diamond Rio and many others. Camron currently endorses Outlaw Drums, Sabian Cymbals and Terry Built Cases. He is also a member of the Percussive Arts Society and Musicians Union.
